I have taken at least one picture of this Willys every year I have attended this car show. It runs as good as it looks. The 350 and 700R4 give it a little more go than the stock gear had.

This is a beautiful car. The interior was nicely done too.

This old Fairlane 500 looked and sounded great, for a Ford.

Who doesn't love a red '55 Chevy?

I have probably posted pictures of this Dodge before. It is gorgeous.

This RS Camaro is about as good as they come. It's perfect from about any angle.

This paint on this car is very strange. Depending on the angle, it can look this beautiful shade of green or kind of a gold. It's hard to describe. But no matter how you look at it, it is a work of art.

My Bride's Uncle's Mustang Mach 1.  

This is a good looking old Chevy. 1938 if I remember correctly... 

This was a good looking Blazer. The owner said the color is factory, the picture doesn't do it justice.

Trip to Minnesota...

Ok, my Bride's laptop has a slot that will read the memory card from my new camera, so here is the first set of pictures from the car show/cruise.

This Nova is beautiful. The brand new paint is flawless. 

Any GTO is a work of art. The six pack under the hood was very cool. 

This is a 1 ton Longhorn. I think I posted pictures of this last year. It's a fine example of the '67 to '72 trucks. 

This truck was good looking too. I don't think I would put a newer bed on an old truck, but that's just me. 

A fine example of a Chevelle SS. 

I love this generation of Malibu. My best friend in high school had one. A lot of good memories in that car.

This '55 is sporting a 427 under the hood. More on this car later.

I'm Back!

Well folks, I'm back from my yearly pilgrimage to Minnesota. We go up every summer to visit my Bride's family. We time our visit to coincide with Giant Days. It's an annual weekend of festivities including a car show. Well, it used to be a car show, now it is a cruise kind of thing, more on that below.

There are all kind of things going on in the park. Lot's of music and food. It's a small town good time. It reminds me of a simpler time.

It's all topped off by a parade on Sunday and after that, all the corn on the cob you can eat. Good stuff. We always have a good time. My Bride's family are great people. They let all of us from the Kansas City area bunk at their houses, feed us, show us around, just excellent hosts.

The car show has kind of transformed into a cruise. Basically the cars start lining up at about 11:00 am and everyone has a chance to check them out and hang around talking hot rods. About 1:00 everyone takes off and the cruise is a little better than an hour long and the route takes it through a few other nearby towns.

Again this year I was in a Ford. I can't complain too much though, it was a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. It's a beautiful car... for a Ford. I really have to get a Chevy up there soon.

I' be posting some pictures soon. We had to get a new camera and my old memory card reader doesn't like the new memory. So when I get that solved I will show you some good looking cars.
