Debt ceiling, comments and obama is a lying thug...

I got this comment from John concerning this post. For some reason, John seems to think I wouldn't post it. Well, here it is.
My name is John, I'm in Pittsburgh, don't have any of the other accounts, so you'll probably just delete this...

Lying Thug? The article you copied references "many economists", doesn't just sound like the current administration believes bad things could happen.

Here's a link that supports what they say with facts, not regurgitated demagogue BS: http://crooksandliars.com/jon-perr/10-inconvenient-truths-about-debt-ceiling

Doubt you'll let this stay up, but oh well. You can keep calling names and believing that trickle down economics works.

PS- Why would congress not have any issues raising the debt ceiling under W, but all of the sudden they have some sort of economic resolve? Seven times they voted to raise it. Seven. Btw, the current Ryan proposal would force them to raise the limit anyway.
John, it isn't so much the raising of the debt ceiling that I object to. It is all the bullshit that the democrats want to attach to it. And yes, obama is a lying thug. He has proven in the past that he will agree to things in order to gain a compromise from the Republicans and then not follow through with it. Off of the top of my head I can't recall the exact issue, but in order to reach a compromise he agreed to do away with some of the "czar" positions. As soon as the deal was struck he refused to hold up his end of the bargain.

The bullshit about the social security checks is also a lie. The federal government takes in a little over $200 BILLION in revenue a month, the social security obligation is roughly $50 BILLION and it is a priority. There is no way the government wouldn't have the money to pay those checks. He is simply using scare tactics and bald face lies in order to seek an advantage in this debate.

Sure, there are downsides to not raising the debt ceiling. There are also downsides to raising taxes in a piss poor economy. Raising taxes on people who earn more than $200,000 will affect everyone in this Country in one way or another.

democrats promising to make further budget cuts LATER for an increase in the debt ceiling today... Only an idiot would fall for that. It's all bullshit. The democrats are addicted to spending OUR money. They won't stop regardless of the amount that has to be borrowed. This is unsustainable. And raising the debt ceiling under George W. Bush was wrong to, just ask obama, he said so himself. When he said it, under the watch of George W. Bush, it was wrong and irresponsible and a sign of poor leadership. But like everything else, when obama does it, it's suddenly the right thing and we are idiots for doubting his genius.

Obama has no clue. He is in over his head. Every move he makes further damages our economy and pushes us further toward bankruptcy. An adult needs to step up, reign in the radical agenda and put an end to this out of control spending, and obama ain't the guy...

PS - I found the incident on the "czars". In April of this year, in order to reach a compromise on the budget, congress voted to defund several of the "czar" positions and PASSED it. A week or so later obama refused to abide by the duly enacted bill. Read more about it here...

Here is a video that shows obama's "candidate" stance on presidential signing statements. Again, he is a lying thug.

Report Claims White House Gave Kickback Administration Jobs to Donors

Unless you're just an idiot, you don't need a new report to know that obama is a crooked scumbag that uses his power to grant favors to his supporters. And it's not just campaign donors, it's also his batshit crazy, liberal, thug friends. Who do you think all those "czar" positions went to? Hire your buddies without any kind of congressional or voter approval, pay them big salaries, put them in charge of billions of dollars in tax money, wow, what a concept.

obama did bring a new kind of government to washington. A corrupt, chicago thug kind of government. This is the most corrupt administration in the history of our Country...

by Kimberly Schwandt - FoxNews

A new report by iWatch claims the Obama administration gave 200 of its biggest campaign donors key assignments within the government or granted their business interests with federal contracts.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was pressed about the issue at the White House briefing Wednesday and said that giving money doesn't qualify someone for a post, but also doesn't disqualify them and that decisions were based on merit.

"You asked me about supporters of the president who may have been donors who have gotten positions and I would point out to the fact that the people who got those positions got then because of their credentials. They also happen to be donors in some cases. There are obviously numerous and far many more cases of people who weren't donors who were appointed the jobs," Carney said.

Some are charging that the new report is at odds with President Obama's claims on the campaign trail that he would bring a new kind of government to Washington and not cater to special interests.

"They write the checks and you get stuck with the bill," Obama said of "cynics, lobbyists and special interests" when he announced his candidacy in February of 2007. "They get the access while you get to write a letter. They think they own this government. But we're here today to take it back."

"The time for that kind of politics is over," Obama added. "It is through. It's time to turn the page right here and right now."

Carney Wednesday stated that the administration has held the highest ethical standards and has had bold transparency.

"[O]ur ethical standards are unmatched by any previous administration," Carney said at the White House press briefing. "Our efforts at transparency are unprecedented. And that's not just me saying it, it is outside groups who have said that. So I think that the fact that individuals who have been appointed also supported the President is hardly a story."

The investigation revealed that the donors, or so-called "bundlers" were able to raise $50,000 to more $500,000 for Obama's 2008 bid, and of course that the White House wants them back on board for 2012.

iWatch notes the example of Donald. H. Gips, telecom executive of Level 3 Communications LLC who gave more than half a million dollars to the Obama campaign along with two fellow execs who gave at least $150,000.

After the 2008 Obama win, Gips got the gig of hiring for the administration, and was later named the ambassador to South Africa.Level 3 also was able to nab $13.8 million in stimulus money. iWatch reports that Gips had stock in Level 3, but claimed he was completely unaware of the stimulus money.

The report also stated that some donors didn't expect anything in return, quoting a hotel CEO Stewart Bainum who got invited to the White House St. Patrick's Day party.

obama Keeps 'Czars' Despite Budget Deal That Eliminated Them

What an asshole. obama agrees to the budget deal and then refuses to do his portion. These "czars" never should have been allowed in the first place. These positions answer to no one but obama, are in charge of billions of tax dollars and have very little if any oversight. It is simply a way for obama to hire more of his left wing liberal, socialist buddies for huge salaries without having to worry about congressional approval. It's bullshit.

His inabilty to uphold his end of the bargain should make the entire budget deal null and void. Only a true scumbag would refuse to honor their word. All a man really has is his word, and if that is no good, well you figure it out...

From FoxNews

President obama may have never met a "czar" he didn't like and he's not about to bid farewell to any of them now, despite a budget deal he struck with Republican leaders last week that eliminated four of these positions.

The budget compromise that obama, House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader harry reid reached in the final moments before the government shut down last Friday included language effectively eliminating the czar positions overseeing health care, climate change, the auto industry and urban affairs – positions that don't require Senate confirmation.

But after signing the legislation Friday that funds the government through the end of September and cuts $38 billion in spending, obama issued a signing statement saying he would ignore the part about his czars, arguing that defunding those positions violated his constitutional authority.

Republicans cried foul over obama's move.

"It's not surprising that the White House, having bypassed Congress to empower these 'Czars' is objecting to eliminating them," Mike Steel, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, said in a statement.

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., who introduced legislation earlier this year eliminating nine czar positions, said obama cannot choose which laws to follow and ignore.

"The president knew that the czar amendment was part of the overall budget deal he agreed to, and if he cannot be trusted to keep his word on this, then how can he be trusted as we negotiate on larger issues like federal spending and the economy," he said in a statement, arguing that appointing these czars without Senate confirmation violated the Constitution.

"The United States is not a kingdom run by a political director, and President obama needs to quickly reverse course and abide by the law eliminating the czars that were part of the budget resolution."

While presidents in both parties have appointed high-level officials to advise them on a wide range of policy areas, obama's czars have been a favorite target for Republicans, who say obama has appointed more than any of his predecessors in a power grab that undermines the Senate's advice and consent role.

Scalise's office estimates that 39 officials are in the obama administration and in his bill he described czars as the "head of any task force, council, policy office within the executive office of the president" or similar office, appointed "without the advice and consent of the Senate."

Earlier this year, climate czar Carol Browner left the White House and health care czar Nancy-Ann DeParle was promoted to White House deputy chief of staff. Other past czars in the obama administration has drawn much criticism from Republicans, including former green jobs czar Van Jones and current science czar John Holdren.
