Plaxico Burress was released from a medium security New York prison today.
I don't know what you think, but in my opinion, he was railroaded. The mayor of New York got personally involved in the case against Burress, demanding that he be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Just another reason bloomberg is an asshole.
Unlike a lot of other NFL players, prior to the handgun incident, he had a fairly clean record. I can't begrudge a guy for carrying a gun for personal protection, especially someone who is famous. And during the incident he wasn't waving the gun around or making a menace of himself.
Hopefully Plaxico will be able to sign on with a team this summer. He is an excellent football player and is always exciting to watch.
