It's good to be king...

For the last three years I have gone back and forth on obama. Is the guy a total incompetent or is he working some sort of master plan? I still don't know. He has very stealthly gotten everything he wanted. Every one of those things have been horrible for our Country. obamacare, cash for clunkers, bailouts, stimulus, on and on.

And even with all of those things, real unemployment is around 15%, gas is still over $3.00 a gallon, homes are still being foreclosed on at a record pace, the stock market is like a rollercoaster ride from hell, inflation is on the rise, food prices are on the rise, one in seven Americans is on food stamps.

Even with all of these awful things, I think the worst is the arrogance. He continues to prove that the rules don't apply to him, that he is above the standards that the rest of us are held to. When things are at their worst, he plays golf, or goes on vacation.

And not just any vacation. A vacation to an exclusive, expensive property in Martha's Vineyard. The rent on this 28 acre estate is about $50,000 dollars a week. But that is a minor expense compared to the security costs. This 11 day vacation will cost us, the taxpayers, millions of dollars.

But the part that pushes the disregard for the American people over the top is that obama and his wife couldn't even take the same plane on vacation.

I can't help but remember reading about ancient kings. The peasants were taxed to death so that the royalty could continue to live a lifestyle the common people could only dream about. We seem to be reliving those days...

A Couple of Things...

obama really is serious about creating jobs. The two buses that were commisioned for the president, costing $1.1 million dollars each were all custom made... in Canada. See, he is all about stimulating the economy and putting people to work, just not in this Country.

Did you know that 1 in 7 people in this Country are now on food stamps? Did you know that food stamps are a form of economic stimulus? Well, according to obama's secretary of agriculture that's exactly what they are. This is what tom vilsack actually said -

When you talk about the SNAP program or the food stamp program, you have to recognize that it’s also an economic stimulus… If people are able to buy a little more in the grocery store, someone has to stock it, package it, shelve it, process it, and ship it. All of those are jobs. It’s the most direct stimulus you can get in the economy during these tough times.

Can you imagine though, how much of an economic stimulus it would be if the people drawing food stamps had good paying jobs and spent a portion of their paycheck at the grocery store?

It really seems as if this administration takes pride in the number of people on food stamps. If I were the guy in charge, my goal would be to have the fewest people possible drawing food stamps, unemployment or any other type of government check, including paychecks.

People want to work. They want to make a better life for themselves and their children.

Creating an environment of dependence on the government isn't good for the economy, it's the exact opposite. Especially when that environment is created through poor management, over regulation, over taxation and reckless spending.
