Talking about the debt limit isn't a coversation worth having? obama is an asshole. Unless the Republicans are going to say it's ok to increase taxes and spend a bunch more money, obama doesn't want to hear it.
Spending more money we don't have won't solve our financial problems. We found that out with the bullshit stimulus package. What a waste of money, unless you are one of the government workers who benefitted from it. There certainly wasn't any benefit to the non-government sector of this Country...

The White House effectively turned down an invitation by Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell for President barack obama to visit his members on Capitol Hill on Thursday to discuss raising the debt limit.
White House press secretary jay carney, while not directly saying the invitation had been rejected, said obama did not need to hear Republicans tell him what they would not support.
That, carney said, was "not a conversation worth having."
