Crypt Rocket commented on my post yesterday about donations to the Joplin relief effort. He, as am I, not too interested in donating through the Red Cross. Those donations don't always go where you think they will and the salaries paid to Red Cross big shots are waaay too big. Anyway, this is a post for another day...
If you want to donate something to an organization a little closer to Joplin, visit the United Way of South East Missouri.
If you hover on the orange GIVE link, top center of the page, it will give a popup menu with some options. Click on the DONATE option and it will pull up another page. There are some check boxes at the bottom of the page and you can specify Joplin Tornado Relief.
Like I said yesterday, most of these folks would never think of asking for help, but they need all we can give them right now. Keep in mind that these poeple lost everything. They not only lost their homes, but clothes, food, everything.
Give a little if you can, and if you can't pray for those that made it and also for those that didn't...
